Cancellation, withdrawal, and refunds

This page covers contract and consumer-rights topics (including the EU/EEA statutory withdrawal right for distance contracts) and is separate from our privacy policy, which explains how we process personal data. If you are uncertain which notice applies, start with the short summary below.

1. What you are buying

10XSheets sells digital spreadsheet templates and related digital materials delivered electronically. Unless stated otherwise on the product page, nothing on this website constitutes individualized professional advice (tax, legal, accounting, or investment).

2. Who you contract with at checkout

Payments for templates are processed through Lemon Squeezy. Depending on product and store configuration, Lemon Squeezy may operate checkout, invoicing, and applicable tax collection as platform/merchant-of-record services. Please review the checkout screens, invoice, and Lemon Squeezy terms applicable to your purchase—they form part of your agreement together with any product-specific license terms presented at sale.

3. Statutory right of withdrawal for consumers (EU/EEA)—overview

If you qualify as a consumer (natural person acting outside your trade, business, craft, or profession), you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts under applicable EU consumer protection rules implemented in Germany (including the instructions about withdrawal that must be supplied in a durable medium where required).

The legally required pre-contract information and withdrawal instructions are typically presented as part of the checkout flow and related emails from the payment provider. Keep those documents for your records.

4. Digital content: early expiry of the withdrawal right

For contracts concerning digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the withdrawal right can expire early if all of the following apply under the statutory framework (implemented in Germany in the Civil Code): you expressly consent to performance beginning before the withdrawal period ends, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance/delivery begins.

In practice, many digital template purchases include a consent step before download/access because immediate delivery is integral to the product. Whether your withdrawal right remains available after access depends on what you agreed to at checkout and the statutory conditions—if in doubt, contact us with your order reference.

Under German/EU rules, additional formalities (such as confirmation on a durable medium) can apply; your checkout and confirmation emails from the payment platform are authoritative for what was obtained in your specific purchase.

5. Discretionary refunds after lawful digital delivery

Digital templates cannot be returned like physical goods once supplied. We do not offer discretionary refunds for reasons such as change of mind, picking the wrong product for your use case, duplicate purchase by mistake after you have accessed files, or subjective dissatisfaction with layout or modeling choices, if (i) your statutory withdrawal right has already validly expired under the conditions in Section 4 (including what you consented to at checkout), or (ii) you are not a consumer to whom that right applies.

This commercial stance does not limit mandatory statutory rights that may still apply—for example where digital content is defective, not as described, or not supplied as promised—including national warranty (Gewährleistung) and similar rules where they apply to your purchase. Those situations are assessed under applicable law and Lemon Squeezy's applicable seller/platform processes, not waived by this page.

6. How to exercise withdrawal or request help

To exercise your statutory withdrawal (if available), follow the instructions provided at checkout and in your confirmation communications from the payment platform. You may also email us at hello@10xsheets.com with your order details; we will route your request appropriately with Lemon Squeezy where needed.

7. Non-delivery, defects, and delivery failures

If your issue is non-delivery, a broken download or access link, or a file that is materially unusable (for example the workbook cannot be opened in a supported spreadsheet app or core structure is corrupted), contact hello@10xsheets.com with your order reference and, where possible, screenshots or error messages. We will handle the request under applicable mandatory lawand the payment platform's rules—not as a blanket money-back guarantee for every support request.

8. Businesses ( entrepreneurs / “Unternehmer”)

If you purchase as a business customer within the meaning of German law, statutory consumer withdrawal rights typically do not apply in the same way (unless mandatory law provides otherwise). Contractual remedies depend on applicable terms at checkout and statutory rules for defects (where applicable).

9. Related policies
